A waifu you have to stake.

Proof-of-stake waifus. Bond ETH, and every few minutes a draw hands out the waifus your stake has unlocked. No gas war, no allowlist — your ETH always comes back.

    How PoSwaifus work

Hashcats made you mine for a cat. PoSwaifus replace the mining with staking: you lock ETH instead of burning electricity, and you get it all back. Six steps, in the order you meet them.

    STEP 01

    Stake ETH

To be in a draw your stake must reach the bar, this epoch 0.001 ETH. It starts at 0.001 ETH and doubles for every 500 waifus minted, so the earlier you are, the cheaper the ticket. When minting goes quiet it halves every hour, back down to 0.001 ETH, and it never passes 0.1 ETH. It is fixed for each epoch, and a stake below it keeps its ETH and simply sits the draw out until you top up.

Above the bar, your stake is your ticket: the bigger it is, the bigger your share of every draw.

Pick a lock. Flexible lets you leave whenever you want. Locking for longer multiplies your weight, and larger stakes get a small size bonus on top:

    LockWeightStake sizeBonus
    Flexible1.00xunder 0.1 ETH1.00x
    30 minutes1.20x0.1 – 0.5 ETH1.10x
    2 hours1.80x0.5 – 2 ETH1.20x
    24 hours4.00x2 ETH and up1.35x

A new stake joins the draw from the next epoch, so nobody can slip in after a result is known. Topping up an existing stake keeps its place; the new ETH counts from the next epoch.

    STEP 02

    Staking unlocks the waifus

The 4,096 waifus are not all available at once. They unlock in batches of 5 to 10, paid for by stake-time: every ETH staked, by everyone together, multiplied by how long it stays.

The more that is staked, the faster the next batch arrives. If people withdraw, unlocking slows down — it never goes backwards and never gets stuck. Moving the same ETH in and out does nothing, because it only counts while it sits in the contract.

Each waifu costs a little more stake-time than the one before, doubling every 525. On mainnet the whole collection opens in about 2.5 days with 3 ETH staked:

    Staked1,000 open3,000 openAll 4,096
    0.5 ETH4.4 h3.5 days15 days
    3 ETH45 min14 h2.5 days
    5 ETH27 min8.3 h1.5 days

The home page shows the next batch and how long it needs at the current stake.

    STEP 03

    Every epoch, a draw

Time runs in epochs of 5 minutes. Each epoch hands out a number of slots — at least 8, and more when a lot is unlocked, so a big batch is gone within a few epochs.

Your share of the slots equals your share of the total weight. Hold a quarter of the weight when 12 slots are up and your share is 3. Any fraction left over is one more slot, won with that probability. One address can take at most 3 waifus per epoch, so a single whale cannot clear the pool in one draw.

The randomness comes from drand, a public beacon run by a group of independent organisations. Nobody — not us, not the network — can predict or pick the value, and the contract checks its signature itself.

Keep the site open. It checks every draw for you, for free, and only pops up when you have won.

    STEP 04

Mint what you won — one transaction

When you win, a window lists every waifu you can take, up to three per draw. One confirmation mints all of them, and you have twelve epochs — about an hour — to do it.

The first 100 are free. After that the price starts at $1, rises slowly at first, fastest around #1000, and reaches $10 at #2000, where it stays. Paid in ETH at the current rate.

Every portrait is drawn on chain — no IPFS, no server. Her face is fixed from launch, so the pool shows exactly who is next. Her rarity is drawn as she mints, against fixed quotas: 72 Mythic and 320 Rare for the whole mint, with your luck (lock and staking time, up to 3x) multiplying the odds. Once a quota is used up, nobody can draw that tier again.

Mythic always wears a colorway — Gold, Holo, Ghost or Void. Rare always has heart or star eyes, or a neon or validator background. Waifus #1–#100 carry the golden Genesis mark.

    STEP 05

Stake your waifus, earn from every later mint

Stake a waifu back into the contract from your profile. Half of every paid mint after that goes to staked waifus, along with 7 of the 10 royalty points and every early-exit penalty. 85% of it is shared equally between all staked waifus; 15% is a bonus pool shared by rarity points — Uncommon 1, Rare 4, Mythic 16. The fewer rare waifus are staked, the more each of them takes.

Earlier is better: an early waifu collects from every mint that comes after it. With half of all minted waifus staked, one waifu earns roughly:

Staked atPrice thenCommon earnsRare earnsMythic earns
    #100$1.00~$14~$21~$40
    #500$2.03~$13~$18~$36
    #1000$5.15~$11~$16~$30
    #2000$10.00~$6~$9~$17
    #3000$10.00~$3~$4~$7.50

Payouts stop when the last waifu is minted. They are paid in ETH; claim them from your profile whenever you like.

    STEP 06

    Take your ETH back

Withdraw from your profile at any time. Inside a lock you can still leave early for a penalty: up to 10% right after locking, falling to zero as the lock runs out. The whole penalty goes to staked NFTs — the team never receives it. The contract has no function that lets anyone else move your stake: not the team, not an admin. Every withdrawal can only pay the wallet that made the deposit.

    FAQ

    Questions

    Do I lose my ETH?

No. Staked ETH is returned in full once any lock ends. You only pay the mint price of what you win, and gas. The one exception is your own choice: leaving a lock early costs up to 10%, and that goes to staked NFTs.

What if I miss the window?

That win lapses after twelve epochs. Your stake stays in and you are in every following draw.

    Can a whale take everything?

A whale gets a share proportional to their weight — no more. Splitting ETH across wallets gives nothing extra, and the size bonus stops at 1.35x.

    What is the Forge?

Burn two Commons to lift a third to Uncommon, three Uncommons for a Rare, or four Rares for a Mythic. She keeps her face and is marked Forged. Rare and Mythic results come from a fixed reserve (64 Rare, 24 Mythic, plus any mint quota left at sell-out), so the collection never passes 384 Rare or 96 Mythic. Burned waifus leave the staking pool, so everyone else's share grows.

    What if everyone withdraws?

Unlocking slows down but nothing already unlocked is lost, and it picks up again as soon as anyone stakes.

Why do I have to keep the site open?

The site checks each draw against drand for free. If it is closed, you can still come back and mint within twelve epochs of a win.
